The founding purpose of Yilan Sister Cities Corporation is to promote the exchange between Yilan City and international sister cities.
As a communication and integration platform between Yilan City and its international sister cities, “
Start from Yilan, look ahead Taiwan/global village."  Assist in handling the city of Yilan City Office bilateral exchange affairs, maintaining and deepening the friendship between sister cities, carrying forward local history and culture, and enhance the international visibility of Yilan City.
The main tasks of Yilan Sister Cities Corporation are:
1. Plan and handle various exchange activities between Yilan City and its sister cities.
2. Promote the signing of sister city agreements between Yilan City and other international cities.
3. Deal with the daily communication business between Yilan City and its sister cities.
4. Conduct membership activities.
